RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY Dentist in Marina del Rey - 30+ Years Tradition of Excellence

We enjoy the challenge of restoring your smile, & thanks to rapid advances in dental technology, there is much more that we can do for our patients. Modern ceramic materials combined with the in-depth experience of our clinical team can assure you of a successful & long-lasting result. Whether the cause is accident or disease, we can restore your smile. Restorative dentistry can include something as small as a filling. If cavities become too large for an ordinary filling, we will suggest an alternative—a ceramic onlay or inlay. These are skillfully made in the laboratory to fit the shape of the cavity & match the color of the surrounding teeth.

Fillings

If you need a filling, there are several options for filling materials. The most popular type is tooth colored fillings, which blend to match the natural color of your teeth. These fillings, known as resin-based composite fillings, bond to your teeth and actually reinforces the strength of the weakened tooth. The advantage of composite is that we can conservatively remove the decay and remaining tooth structure. Because composites match the exact shade of your teeth, it provides a much more aesthetic result. Other options are gold, metal (amalgam) fillings, ceramic and glass ionomer. The exact filling material we recommend depends on several factors, including the location and extent of tooth damage. Get a Free Report on the Benefits of Restorative Dentistry.

Crowns

Teeth can become damaged due to decay, cracks, trauma beyond the repair with a filling. Dental crowns can correct a number of unpleasant circumstances such as (but not limited to): the tooth has sustained extensive damage, the tooth is weak and likely to chip or break, the tooth is poorly shaped or discolored, or the tooth has undergone a root canal and needs protection. Dental crowns are available in a variety of materials, and can be temporary or permanent each with their own benefits. A crown is essentially a cap that covers the damaged tooth. It fully encapsulate the tooth, visibly covering areas from the gum line and above and providing an aesthetic mask and practical protection for cracked or near-broken teeth. We create a mold of your mouth and design a custom crown to fit exactly into place. A crown can be cemented over an existing tooth or can be attached to an implant.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges provide an option for replacing a missing or damaged tooth. It bridges the gap where there are missing teeth. The adjacent teeth to either side of the gap, called abutments, receive a crown. These are usually not indicated for patients whose abutment teeth do not need any restorative work because we do not want to unnecessarily remove healthy tooth structure. Don’t let damaged or missing teeth make you feel self-conscious. Yeo Family Dental Group Care can help you feel confident about your smile and make it beautiful again!
